Adriano, World Champiom Bull Rider on Little Yellow Jacket
Over the years LeRoy Neiman has attended many bull riding events in Mexico and the U.S. With his first experience he was captivated by the vibrant sights both in and out of the bull riding ring. He observed the enormous bulls all corralled together and was transfixed by the bull and the rider each sizing one another up, each determined to be the best and to be the conqueror.
Neiman places us in the middle of the action packed arena. He captures the ferocious anger and determination of Little Yellow Jacket’s massive one thousand seven hundred and fifty pounds - staccato action, hind legs rearing up to throw the rider – while Adriano with equal determination and prowess holds firm. Neiman translates the thundering intensity of power and skill as it plays out to the pleasure of the spectator packed stadium.
Older than time, the battle between man and beast rages on. Once again LeRoy Neiman’s mesmerizing brush stroke captures the eternal quest for victory.
Adriano Moraes, one of the most successful bull riders in history, has won The Professional Bull Riders World Championship three times, most recently in 2006. He’s
been named Champion of the National Finals Rodeo and winner of The World Challenge, making him the top bull rider in a competition involving five countries.
Little Yellow Jacket is the only bull in the history of professional bull riding to capture the World Champion Bull title for three years running. He made his debut in professional bull riding In 1999.
At the end of his final championship year (2004), Little Yellow Jacket had comprised an astonishing record of being ridden only 11 out of 76 attempts.

Two great champions. I remember after every ride or buck off Little Yellow Jacket standing in the arena and just looking around with his head held high seeming to wait for an applause before he left the ring. Like a champion Adriano always thanked God first, then thanking the bull fighters for his safty and then waving his hat to the crowd.
